How do I document my property?
Add a property with your address, then open each room and tap the area cards to launch the camera. The app guides you through photographing walls, floors, fixtures, and other surfaces. AI automatically analyzes each photo for condition and damage.
How do I generate a move-in report?
Once all rooms are fully documented, mark move-in as complete from the property screen. Then tap "Generate Move-In Report" to create an AI-powered condition report with all your photos, timestamps, and GPS coordinates.
Can I share reports with my landlord?
Yes. Each report has a shareable link that you can send to your landlord or property manager. The link opens a web-based viewer — no app download required.
How do deposit disputes work?
If your landlord makes unfair deductions from your security deposit, you can create a dispute in the app. door.lease compares your move-in and move-out photos, identifies pre-existing conditions, and generates an AI-drafted response letter backed by your photo evidence.
How do I report a maintenance issue?
From the dashboard or any property, tap Report Issue to start. Pick a category, write a brief description, then take up to 5 photos. AI analyzes your photos to generate a detailed description, suggest a priority level, and provide quick fix tips. You can edit everything before submitting. Notify your landlord with one tap — the email includes your description, photos, and property details. All plans include up to 10 maintenance requests per property.
What happens to my photos?
Your photos are stored securely on Cloudflare's network. You own your photos — we never sell or share them. Faces are automatically detected and blurred for privacy. Photos can be deleted before move-in is marked complete. After that, photos are locked as evidence to preserve the integrity of your documentation. All data is permanently removed when you delete your account.
Why does the app need my location?
GPS coordinates are embedded in each photo as evidence metadata, proving where and when the photo was taken. This strengthens your documentation if you ever need to dispute deposit deductions. Location is only captured when you actively take a photo — the app never tracks you in the background.
Can I export all my data?
Yes. Open any property, tap the 3-dot menu, and select "Export Data." This generates an HTML report with all your rooms, photos, findings, and dispute information that you can save or print.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings in the app and select "Delete Account." This permanently removes your account and all associated data within 30 days. This action cannot be undone.
Do you offer refunds?
Purchases are generally non-refundable. If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from using a purchased feature, contact us at hello@door.lease and we'll work to resolve it.
